Literally the best pizza in the world. I recently spent a year traveling and am a native of NJ/NY and also Italian. Every single pizza I had from Miami to NYC in the last year only made me think of Peppinos! I came here to write a YELP review just now since I'm craving it once again and needed to write a shout out. It's just THAT fantastic!
Best Pizza in the 6 county area!! Peppino's has been serving the best Italian foods for 30 years !! Food 5+/ 5 stars The dough is freshly made, not frozen and just the right thickness to be crisp and chewy. The pizza sauce is made fresh-not canned sauce. The vegetables are fresh and baked until just tender. They are not stingy with the pizza toppings. There are 10 kinds of pizza or you can create your own combination. Overall= DELICIOUS. My friends also like the sandwiches, especially the meatball sandwich. The menu has other yummy pastas, too. This is not "fast food"-it's quick, tasty food. Service 5/5-Leave your order at the counter and they call your number when it's ready. Quick service. The gentleman who has been the cook is always approachable and nice. Ambiance 5/5 for a pizza place -casual, clean, plenty of room between tables. There are outside tables in the shade, also. Location 4/5-not downtown, but not far from town. A convenient short drive from Athens or Watkinsville-and well worth the drive for eat-in or carry-out. Let's hope Peppino's stays open and healthy for many more years.-it's a little jewel. Price -not the cheapest pizza, but it is much better than the cheapest pizza.

Still the best and most authentic pizza in town(I'm an NJ born and raised Italian /American). I've been patronizing Joe since he first came to town. They seemed to have hit a low point a while back as one reviewer noted, but have apparently rebounded. My only gripe is prices have gotten out of hand. Last night paid $15 for two(albeit huge) slices with one premium topping . Not a bargain by any stretch but two of us left "full and happy"
